Sometimes the silent are suffering the most
The ones not speaking up are the ones hurting on the inside more than anyone else
Those who cry in private
Those who never release or share their troubles
Those who have become great friends with “I’m okay…”
Those who have long since convinced theirselves that feeling this way is normal
That depression is the default state
To be bobbing at the surface so close to drowning
But never getting so lucky
When someone is drowning, they don’t scream
They go silent
